This roof was replaced by East Fork Roofing in Sun Valley, NV around mid-March of 2017.
To begin, East Fork Roofing removed the old roofing materials and had them hauled away. After that, they inspected the supporting wooden structures, which were seen to be satisfactory. For this particular job a new curb mount was built for a skylight.
Next, 30 lb felt was installed (which is an upgrade from the usual 15 lb felt commonly used for roofs in the Reno area). Over that, new composition shingles from Malarkey Highlander were nailed down. The new shingle color is called "Midnight Black" and is medium-dark to dark, cool, charcoal color. Click on the "Laminated Architectural Shingles" button, then "Highlander Shingle Line", and then click on the "Midnight Black" image). Charcoal colored drip-edge metal was also chosen to match.
