Today's featured roof was replaced by East Fork Roofing LLC in mid-November of 2017 in Sparks, NV.
As you can see, there were sloped areas of the roof as well as a flat area. East Fork Roofing removed the old materials and disposed of them. After that they installed unpainted metal drip edge, 15 lb felt and new 30-year composition shingles to the sloped portions. For the flat area, they installed a new torch applied roofing system.

East Fork started by removing the worn out roof materials and disposing of them. After that, they installed 30 lb felt (an upgrade) and new 40-year shingles. East Fork began by removing the existing concrete tile roof. After that, they assessed the tile molding and modified it so they could install charcoal metal drip edge. Then, they installed ice and water shield on the low slope cricket area, 15 lb felt and new 50-year composition shingles.

Since none were found, they moved forward to install brown metal drip edge, 30 lb felt, and new 40-year composition shingles. This client also chose the upgrade of ridge on rakes, which adds additional wind protection as well as being even more aesthetically pleasing.

Grey is a very popular color for roofs these days. This client chose a color blend that has several tones of greys called "Max Def Georgetown Gray" to go with their grey home. The shingles are already dimensional, but the different values emphasize it, creating a luxurious look. This roof replacement was done by East Fork Roofing, LLC during the latter part of the month of September of 2017 in Sparks, NV. As you can see, this home originally had a 3-tab shingle roof. Unfortunately, that type of shingle is less than ideal in the high wind prone areas of Northern NV. Luckily, this client decided it was time to get a roof replacement and chose East Fork Roofing to upgrade their roof to new 50-year composition shingles with a 130 mph wind warranty (versus 60 mph for 3-Tab).

East Fork Roofing started the project by removing all the old roofing materials and disposing of them. Next, they inspected the wood underneath for possible signes of dry rot and found everything to be fine. After that, they installed new charcoal metal drip edge, ice and water shield, 30 lb felt (an upgrade from the usual 15 lb) and new 40-year composition shingles. This roof was a bit more of a challenge as it has a higher slope than many standard roofs.
