Today's roof replacement was done by East Fork Roofing, LLC at the end of May 2017 in Reno, NV. To begin, they removed the old roof and then inspected the underlying plywood and sheathing for defects. Since all was in order, they moved on to installing charcoal metal drip-edge, 15 lb felt, and new 30-year composition shingles.
Malarkey Highlander's Midnight Black were the shingles chosen by the client for their roof. They appear darker than the photos show here and you can see a better image of what they look like at Malarkey's website: https://malarkeyroofing.com/shingle-color-selector.
